Why Stygma?
Stigma has meanings which are entirely suitable to rollerblading. A Stigma is a mark which differentiates a person from others, be it through passion or crime. We are passionate about our rollerblading though many see it as a crime, and rollerblading is something which makes us different from the masses. Therefore, we decided that rollerblading is our Stigma. The reason for the changing of the spelling from Stigma to Stygma is because we wanted to create a term exclusive to rollerblading.
Why will Stygma be any different from other clothing companies? Most companies aim for either the Hip-hop trend or the Emo-Rock trend. What we noticed is that the average age of rollerbladers as our history continues is getting higher and higher. People need clothes to skate in, to work in, to study in and to party in. Our idea was to have a serious, mature image with OUR OWN CUT. T shirts, jeans, shirts, ties and more, including high quality articles that differentiate us from the competition. Designed to look good and to fit well, taking into consideration the exclusive needs of rollerbladers as well as being clothes that would not look out of place in a fashion store. Of course, our sizes and logos are also artistic and attractive to both the Hip-Hop trend and the rock trend.
The cuts and sizes are exclusive to us, and designed with rollerblading in mind. The Stygma project is already sending ripples through the rolling world, with the euro-team almost complete, and the web coming soon?this is just the beginning of a huge project.
